Welcome to Sunshine Kids Academy Afterschool Lab & Studio!
Sunshine Kids Academy Afterschool Lab & Studio is an engaging and fun-filled program for children aged 3-12 years old. Our program uncovers the dynamic power and potential of the STEAM subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through robotics, coding, and more. Language and literacy is addressed through student-focused lessons while our studio space provides children a creative outlet through physical health activities including dance, music, gymnastics, and yoga.
Children learn best when education is delivered through play. When children are engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities that involve purposeful design, creation, interactivity and inventing, their creativity flourishes and they show a far greater interest in learning. Our lessons are delivered using fun and familiar tools such as Lego bricks and various technology. Our activities not only encourage social skills and teamwork, but also expand the horizons of their imaginations to show them that anything is possible.
Our Educational Goals
Our mission is to nurture children in a comfortable English-speaking environment while also providing a structured education in an afterschool setting.
We are committed to providing an environment that will foster a love for learning. Our focus is to offer the best possible learning through hands-on, project-based activities that grant students an opportunity to solve real-world problems through out-of-the-box critical thinking. This will also help to develop the skills that are necessary to excel in the ever changing, technologically-advanced world.
Our main goal is to help children become well-spoken and comprehensible individuals. Our success is measured by improving abilities and attitudes toward reading, problem solving skills, speaking and listening as well as overall physical health and well being.
To strengthen social skills, we encourage the children to work together on activities. We also believe it is important to promote each child’s sense of self so that each child can learn in their own way and to their highest potential.
